Another technical challenge on the west side of the Bridgers, Middle Cottonwood is generally ridden as an out an back but can also be linked up with the Bridger Foothills trail for a longer adventure. The bottom half of the trail is of moderate grade with occasional steep, technical sections which become more sustained the higher you go. Some rerouting of the trail has been done recently about half way up which gives you a chance to catch your breath and take in the surroundings. FYI- This trail is subject to the Trail Time Share which prohibits mountain biking on Sundays from June 16 to September 5.
