Milford Byway is one of the spine trails of the Vietnam Network. It starts on the Upper Charles River Rail Trail and runs roughly parallel to the Holliston Highway to where it connects to it about halfway into the forest. It is an easy trail with some modest rock and root tech. While it is technically a double track, it rides like a singletrack. Milford Byway gives you access to many trails along the way. Right at the start there is a short, sharp and very technical climb. But once beyond that it smooths out. Immediately after that short climb you need to decide: left takes you onto Top Down which goes up to Farm Way and College Rock. Right onto the Highway Connector takes you South towards the Holliston Highway and, beyond that, to the NEMBA trail and the Charles River Trail. Also right there, on the right, is Hookers and Blow. If you go straight up Milford Byway you get Log Run on the left, then Beaver Brook Way also on the left, and after joining with Beaver Brook Way down the hill and half-way up the other side you get New Trail to the left, before it joins up with the Holliston Highway.

Access Info

Milford Byway can be accessed directly off the Upper Charles River Rail Trail below, or from the Holliston Highway above. Along the way it connects with multiple trails as described above. It is truly one of the spine trails of the Vietnam Trail Network. Get to know it because it takes you everywhere.
