Monroe Truck Trail is a great workout that rewards you with a long downhill the way you came. Roughly 7 miles of trail that varies from singletrack to fireroad, It can get sandy but there are no real scary features, just plenty of speed. Most ride up and then back down, but you can shuttle it and there are occasionally shuttle services running on the weekend. Bottom section is loose rocks, but the rest is your standard Southern California dirt and sand. Most sections are exposed, so this trail gets very hot during the summer and does not offer much of a breeze.

Access Info

Shuttles provided by Crazy Bear Bikes.

At the bottom of Glendora Mountain Road, the very first switchback you will see a white gate. At the top, a little past the cal-trans storage shed there is a dirt parking lot with gate.

Pretty fun trail, but the downhill honestly got a little tedious for me. Nice and smooth, very fast in sections, and then by the end I was wishing that it could be just a little more challenging. The middle section was the coolest, with a few features built up, good gradient, and a nice rutted out bit to play around on.

Deep ruts tedious on the climb. Overgrown bushes are painful at high speed, long sleeve recommended. Trail bell recommended due to blind turns and hikers/bikes going uphill.
