An alternative to the official bike trails in Biberwier, the Montan Weg is a natural trail starting a little bit higher up on the mountain. It has some difficult, tricky sections as well as some more flowy parts. There are several short alternatives branching off the main trail that all lead back to the main trail or down to Biberwier, so no worries if you accidentally get on to one of these variations.
Access Info
Basically the same access as for the other Biberwier trails, but push the bike up from the upper chairlift for a few minutes to reach the start.
This trail is unsanctioned.

Broke the trail into upper and lower segments and made the upper part a double black and the lower part a single black for now. Fixed the gps track for the lower part so that it follows the fun lower part instead of the ex railway track. Please comment if anything seems off...

The part from Schachtkopf onwards is really good fun. Howecer it features quite a few really, really hard bits. I rode it clipped in and didnt dare to ride all sections on sight.
Would definetly rate it double black. The track -as it can be found here- misses the really good lower part! Instead of turning left, follwing the long straight ex railway track, continue follwing the signs "to Biberwier".
