Leaving the parking lot, keep your eyes down, the horses make the first part of this trail a mine field.
There's a few stream crossings, and when you get to the first fork, you're gonna want to take a right and go into Moonshine Gulch. New World Gulch is a rowdy trail, and would really only be good to ride down.
Keep heading up the drainage, and ride up the stream at one point (not as bad as it sounds). The trail leaves the drainage and gains a saddle at the base of Mt Ellis. From there, you have some fun downhill to meet back up with the New World Gulch trail.
