This trail begins with tight flat switchbacks with large rocks mixed in. The rider with cross a double track and the trail flattens out and because slower and more technical. The lower area is often wet during rainy periods. This area has several long rock gardens, these are all rideable but requires a good level of skills. The lower section could be considered a blue trail but the rock sections make it difficult enough this trail is a black diamond. The trail rewards you at the end with a drinkable spring that is good cold drinkable spring water.

Fall 2019... upper half of this Trail is open, but a few down trees. bottom section is swampy with lots of downed trees lots of hike a bike.

I can see why this trail is rated black, but it is limited to a few tough sections at the bottom. When I ride this trail again, I’d definitely take cutoff 2/3 down to Cold Springs Rd and not do the rest of the trail. The top part of Moss is really fun though.

Very slow and awkward with some very technical spots. I don't like this trail. I would recommend doing vista or poaching buck ridge hiking trail for a lot more fun
