This new addition to The M Trail was built by SLO City Ranger Services and volunteers with CCCMB in 2017. It is much less rocky than almost all the surrounding trails, and has a fantastic flow. There are a few areas with some pretty serious exposure, so if you're descending this trail for the first time without having climbed it, watch your speed around the corners because a few of the sharp edges will come up really quick. This is definitely less challenging than nearby Rock Garden Trail, but it still takes some good bike handling skill and confidence to ride this side of The M Trail, the other side of The M Trail is much less intimidating.

Dry and dusty with a couple minor failing downslope areas where narrow. Unfortunately someone recently "G-rated" the rock pinch near top :/
