This section of the Duluth Traverse multi use trail connects the Hartley Nature Center Parking lot to the Rock Knob and The Pines. From there, you acces the other trails of Hartley Park. It is an easy, fun, flowing section of trail. A popular destination for young kids, because it is close to the trailhead and restrooms, and offers fun terrain without being scary.
The end closest to the Rock Knob does have 2 sections of bedrock.
