This is a connector trail that connects the South Whiteshell Trail (Trans Canada Trail) at Nite Hawk Cafe up to the Manitoba Tourist Information Centre at the Manitoba/Ontario Border.
This trail follows along the side of Highway 44 down to Westhawk Crescent Beach (Main Beach) and then continues as a gravel/crushed rock double track alongside Highway 44 up and down a few hills (Pan Am Hills, where the Pan Am Games bike races were held). This trail goes up to and past the gate situated at the Hunt Lake Hiking trailhead. Past the gate, it continues along the old Highway 44, which was originally the main Trans Canada Highway.
This portion of trail is very suitable for easy biking, but is not a rugged mountain bike trail.
