North Course is the long-standing shuttle friendly trail on Sandia. Downhill only and not beginner friendly, the trail is characterized by a fast opener with several smaller drops, a middle section with numerous large (optional) gap jumps, and and a final, fast non-technical ripper along a powerline clearing before reaching the Capulin snowplay area.
Be aware that while Forest Service is aware of and nominally supportive for this trail it is an unsanctioned trail and as such sometimes has trees and other debris down on the trail. In general, if you can't see what is on the other side; stop, pause, and look.

This trail is unsanctioned.

Disclaimer

Non-sanctioned. Look before you leap, trail has drops and gap jumps.

Two trees down. One towards the beginning and one about half way down. Only one bit still has snow.

Fun and fast downhill. There are some sections that are sandy when dry and can be a challenge to walk your bike down if you're uncomfortable with riding steep grades. Intermediate riders should do fine as there are ride arounds for most things, and this isn't nearly as rocky as some of the other trails in the area.
