North Course is the long-standing shuttle friendly trail on Sandia. Downhill only and not beginner friendly, the trail is characterized by a fast opener with several smaller drops, a middle section with numerous large (optional) gap jumps, and and a final, fast non-technical ripper along a powerline clearing before reaching the Capulin snowplay area.
Be aware that while Forest Service is aware of and nominally supportive for this trail it is an unsanctioned trail and as such sometimes has trees and other debris down on the trail. In general, if you can't see what is on the other side; stop, pause, and look. NOTE: As of July 2024, the lower portion has been re-routed to include park style berm turns and table tops.
