North Ridge trail consist of bermed corners, rock rolls, rock drops that vary between 1 foot to 4 feet, skinny sections of trail with rock gardens, tables and some small doubles. There is a jump section that offers bigger double jumps, but all can be rolled. It ends with a lava rock garden that is ridable but tough. Some of the rock drops are mandatory, but can be hiked.

Loose but running great. The flowy jump section was very soft but rideable.

Sweet float tech. The endless rock garden towards the bottom needs a bypass IMO… maybe a north shore style wood feature?

One of the best downhill descents in all of Oregon. Must do at Spence.

Best technical downhill in the area hands down. This trail keeps you on your toes and constantly blows your mind with the different challenges it throws at you. The initial rock roll into exposed left hander at the top is actually quite intimidating the first time you approach it, but with composure and good line choice it works well and is a good indicator of the difficulty of features further down. The doubles line midway down is fun, but would be much better if more firm. Wear your protective gear, make sure your brakes are in good operating condition, and have fun! This one's worth the trip.

A must ride if you love rocky technical down! Everything looks has a rollable line if you’re into that.. The drop lines are clean and fast there is just one drop halfway down that has an awkward landing. The jump flow section was a nice bonus though it was real loose and sandy when we did it. And the last rock garden took two tries but goes well if you can make the first corner.

Loved it! A local said:”That trail is the real deal” just enough jank and first time through I eyeballed the 2 big drops before going. The rest of the drops can be rolled but who wants to roll?!?! Hats off to the trail builders!

Incredible trail! I found this to be the most technical trail I rode on a week long visit to Ashland, Bend and Oakridge. I would definitely recommend visiting Spence!

This is one of my favorite Southern Oregon trails. Absolutely worth going the extra miles to access it.
