Rolling section of trail through lush forest with big trees. Parts are close to the river. Trail surface is mostly smooth but there are some rocks and roots. Mostly fast, but there are a few short, punchy climbs that sneak up on you. Since the Mill Creek bridge has been replaced, a wet crossing is no longer necessary there. This trail is the part of the Hot Springs Segment between Forest Road 3401 and the Umpqua Hot Springs trailhead (where the Dread and Terror segment begins)

Access Info

The Western end is at the Toketee Lake Trailhead: From Roseburg, OR, turn on OR-138 east / northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, continue on OR-138 to milepost 58.6 Turn north on Forest Road 34. Go north for 2 miles to the trailhead located next to the Toketee Lake Campground. The eastern end is accessed at the Umpqua Hot Springs Trailhead.

Descent off the western side is one of the best on the whole trail. Super roller coaster!
