This is the way to cut straight through the park from north to south. Given you are going up and down the ridges, this route can feel as though it is all climbing. There may be walking for beginner riders on some of the steeper inclines. The same might be true if you don't have good traction tires.
Starting in the northern parking lot, you roll due south. Though you'll want to branch to other trails, keep pedaling due south. You'll drop down a short steep dirt path and cross two bridges. You head left up the path, rolling over rain water control logs, which wipe any drive you had. At the top you'll head into a sharp right. If you are still pedaling, and not walking congrats, you made it! Now come back in the wet rain season and see how you do.
Keep rolling across the flat sections. You'll intersect the South Ridge Loop, the 45th Parallel and Stone Mill Loop trails.
Cross the bridge on the right. Pedal up the hill and you'll reach the south entrance of the park. This is a smaller parking area that fits about four cars.
