This singletrack non-motorized trail leaves the end of the Opal Creek Jeep 60252 trail and goes up to Opal Lake in about one mile. The trail may require short sections of hike a bike on the way up due to steepness. It is all rideable on the way down. The trail crosses the creek in several places. Motorized vehicles have intruded on this trail illegally in the past. Hopefully signs are in place now to prevent this. Opal Lake is a pretty lake of significant size where the water level fluctuates several feet annually by natural phenomenon. The trail historically continued around the north side of the lake and to the headwaters of Opal Creek. That portion of the trail hasn't been maintained recently and had significant downfall to traverse.
