A Pemberton classic and must-ride. It is a relatively steep descent with a couple uphill punches. There are rocky bits and loose steep chutes with a go-around detour. All-mountain bikes are plenty capable for this trail. Also the views of Mount Currie are spectacular

Downhill trails in BC are pretty wicked; i'm used to trails in the US and to me this felt like maybe “one and a half black diamonds”. Definitely not double black, but a few lines were quite impressive with no ride-arounds. I could pick my way down those features, but i wasn't ready to ride them "the right way". Pretty good flow with good sight lines and few surprises, and several optional “big boy” lines. Loose and dusty with rocks when i rode during a dry spell - surely it would tack up with rain but some slopes are pebbly in the dry.
One of the few trails I encountered in BC without any wooden structures; the trail is all natural but expertly built. It makes good use of rocks for features and feels playful. While there are some stiff moves, there's no scary exposure so it would be a good place to work on getting out of your comfort zone if, like me, you're not quite as badass as these BC riders all seem to be!
