Overwatch is an amazing long technical downhill with incredible views. Towards the bottom it can get really rocky. At the bottom you can branch right to the short trail "Cracked Cassette" for a 6 to 10 foot drop depending on how fast you take it.

On Overwatch you are going downhill if you are travelling SW, and uphill if you are travelling NE.

We STRONGLY recommend you ride Overwatch to get used to the terrain here, before riding double blacks like Gravity Well and Terminal Velocity.

Access Info

Follow OHV-0 and climb Brutality, or continue up OHV-0, take a left at the intersection, and skip the ridge portion of Overwatch, OR do the ridge portion as an out (down) and back (up) then continue the DH portion.

If using Brutality to access Overwatch, watch out for rattlesnakes!

Fun trail. You may want to access the trail from the OHV road rather than hike up Brutality, but you would lose some of the ridge ride which is fun. The trail down is long, super chunky, a couple of rock step ups, a couple of rock gardens and did I mention there are some rocks! A very fun technical trail.

I accessed Overwatch via OHV-0, then do the South East portion (to the top of Brutality) as a descent, then climb back up. This is far better than carrying your bike up Brutality!

Overwatch should be sponsored by a tire mfg, slashes here are going to be commonplace with so many sharp rocks.

Last time I rode this trail I got my rear tire (exo casing) slashed by a rock. I'm now switching to DH casing for this place. Also, the off camber section right after the entrance to Elevator Shaft is getting more chewed up by dirt bikers going up which is making it a bit more technical/gnarly.

This is a SERIOUS trail for MTBs, it would be very easy to be walking out with a bike issue, or with a serious injury. A lot can go wrong here, don't ride alone!

Fun trail, but the approach is hard.
