Whether you're hiking or biking, the Owl’s Roost Trail promises a good workout. Voted the "best urban mountain biking trail" in the country by Bicycling Magazine, in 2003. The dips, twists, turns, and hops on the Owl’s Roost Trail make it a regional favorite for single-track riding. This trail is rugged compared to some of the other watershed trails and is the most technical ride in the system. The additional 1.3 miles of old fire lanes that have been converted to trails add an extra benefit to the trail. It is one of six watershed trails designated as part of the North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail and is sponsored by the Greensboro Fat Tire Society.

Great trail. Slightly more technical and rugged than Wild Turkey. Once you learn the fire roads there are several great route options you can change up to add some variety.

Probably not the best trail to take a beginner on given the roots and more tricky sections.

I like riding out from Bur-Mil Park then returning via Shady Side Trail.

Super fun trail with a little for everyone mixed it. People say its not for beginners and thats true but if u take your time and stay within your limits you will be fine remember theres no shame in walking your bike. Overall super fun trail with a bunch of different lines to take.
