Paradise is a short connector trail, linking the Gateway trail area with the McDowell Mtn. Ranch trails (Quartz and Taliesin), and if you continue, linking you up with the Lost Dog trail area at the south end of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The trail can be ridden either direction, but northbound is more difficult with the climbing involved. The southern half of Paradise follows a large natural wash, adding some rocks and flash flood hazards to the ride.

The trail has signs at the north end (Gateway Loop Trail) and the south end (Quartz Trail).

Southbound is downhill with some large rocks areas and some challenging areas where trail was washed out. A few nice ledges with 20+ Ft fall off side if not careful
