This connector provides the primary access to the more advanced trails in the northwestern portion of the park from post #44 at the edge of the parking area. This is the high point of the trail with grades falling gently toward the north and west. The trail is difficult to see as it drops over a 5 embankment into the woods. It then immediately encounters an intersection where you'll need to choose your options.

You immediately pass the Rock Garden Connector on the left and on the right. After a short (300'+/-) gradual downhill you cross the gravel access road to the mulch piles. The next section becomes rockier and encounters two quick intersection turns before crossing the Nature Trail. It then follows along the small stream, intersecting the gas line across from the Expert Trail.
