This non-motorized single track trail heads up Patterson Creek, starting with its Junction with the East Fork of Patterson Creek. Depending on how much and when trail maintenance is done, it may be a better hike then bike. It crosses Patterson creek numerous times. Plan on getting your feet wet. When it leaves the creek and heads up the mountain to the west, the grade increases substantially requiring hike a bike on the way up. The trail is marked with traditional Forest Service blazes on the trees and the tread is mostly well defined. There are numerous dead trees along the trail so deadfall could be numerous. This is a strenuous ride at best but if you like that kind of ride, this ones for you. The scenery is outstanding. The trail continues down Falls Creek and up and over to Morse Creek. However there is potentially a lot of downfall across the trail in Falls Creek as a majority of that drainage burned in a fire and there are many dead trees standing along that portion of the trail. Patterson Creek was not affected by that fire.
