This single lane with turnouts dirt road provides access to the Hat Creek and Iron Creek areas. The lower end of the road is more wet weather friendly. When it crosses over into the South Fork of Iron Creek drainage and Hat Creeks, it can be extremely slippery when wet. Use caution and check on the weather forecast before planning to use the upper segment of this road. The road climbs steadily from Iron Creek and the climbing grade is strenuous except for the segments where it levels out or goes downhill.

Access Info

Access is via the Iron Creek Road 045 approximately 4 miles west of Highway 93 south of Salmon, Idaho.
