Petrus-se-Brand is a classic old school MTB trail that has formed part of the Knysna Festival MTB route for years. From Diepwalle forest station, the trail heads left onto a wild twee spoor jeep track that climbs and descends as it winds through pristine Knysna forest. The trail breaks into the sunshine periodically atop the odd fynbos "eiland". The trail can be rocky and slithery when wet and has around 500m of climbing along the way. Towards the end, the trail rejoins the R339 before diving into the forest as a single track all the way to the N2,, close to the start of the Harkerville trails.
