<note>From Pine TH going up, around the 6 mile mark there are 3 trees and a large rock slab blocking the trail, but all can be walked around or climbed over. Dirt was good, but beat up from elk.</note>

<note>Upper miles 1-3 miles has 97% unrideable switchbacks and many downed tree's and rock fall that leads to many hike-a-bike off the saddle. After Bearfoot Trail ties in, it becomes well maintained and 100% rideable fun. Fall color is in full effect.

Also the sign at the top of the switchbacks is false claim of 8 miles to Pine TH, strava had us at around 12 miles shown on here is 10 miles.</note>

<note>Update to my Sept. 18, 2016 report.

The portion of the trail that was unrideable has been rerouted & is in the process of being redone. I talked with Alan, from the Pine/Strawberry Fuel Reduction Team & he said a 1.5 miles section from the "Good Enough" Trail, north towards BearFoot trail, has been recently rerouted & they are in the process of finishing it up. So it should make for a pretty decent trail once they finish it. See the Pine Strawberry Fuel Reduction website for updates & new trail in the area.</note>

<note>Update to below - 2019: The Trail has been rerouted from the Pine Trailhead to BearFoot & is really nice now.

Finally got a chance to go back & try the lower portion of #26 this past weekend. WHAT A NIGHTMARE.... We started at the top of the Bearfoot trail & rode it down to Pine Canyon. The new bridge at the bottom of Bearfoot, that the Pine-Strawberry Fuel Reduction Team built is very nice. (Bearfoot is a good Trail, if you haven't tried it"

BAD NEWS: After you cross the Bridge & go down 26 towards Camo LoMia you start a LONG, HARD climb back up the mountain to get back to the Pine Canyon Trail-head. The beginning of this section is rideable, but pretty steep. It's about a 500ft climb in 1 mile, according to Strava & Garmin. After that, the trail becomes un-rideable. I'm not sure why this trail is even on trail forks due the the terrible conditions in the next 3 miles of this trail towards the Pine Trail-head. IN that 3 miles you will climb another 200ft. This should be a hiking trail, not a bike trail. You literally have to carry your bike/hike-a-bike for about the next 3 miles until you get to the Wild Bill Spring, where the trail comes to a "Y" We thought we should have turned right to get back to the Trail-head, turns out we were wrong, brings you down a pretty rough trail, into a neighborhood. So we never got to finish the last couple miles back down to the Pine Trail-head. So, Im still not sure how the Trail condition is from Pine Canyon Trail-head up to the Wild Bill Spring. I will add the Wild Bill Spring trail to TrailForks, so no one else makes a wrong turn.</note>

<note>We shuttled to the top, the pull-off is between MP279 & 280. Parked the other vehicle at the bottom at the Pine Trailhead, just south of Pine. The Trail starts off with some Gnarly Double Black Diamond switch backs. Had to be the Rockiest trail I ever rode, had to get off & hike the bike in a couple spots. Once you get done with the downhill rocky switchbacks the trail gets a little easier to ride. The only bad parts was all the downed trees, it seemed like we were getting off our bikes every 1/8 mile to climb over a log. That's about the 1st, 2 miles of the trail. Once you get to the spot to cross Pine Creek, the trail is awesome for the next couple miles. It reminded me of all those awesome bikes trails we see on You-Tube of the Pacific North West. Awesome dirt, ferns, fast & flowing, in the shade of the tall pines... Then you get to the turn off before Camp LoMia, this is were the current map on Trails Forks is incorrect. You start a pretty good climb up some annoying switchbacks.

6/20/2016-UPDATE... TrailForks map is now correct, it shows the switchbacks at the bottom near Camp LO MIA where the trail was re-routed</note>

TrailForks map is now correct, it shows the switchbacks at the bottom near Camp LO MIA where the trail was re-routed
