This description is from north to south. Pipeline would be more properly called a trail on the north side, consisting of a single/double track mix of dirt and interspersed rocks; the actual gravel road is on the downhill (southern) section. The northmost section of about 1/4 mile seems to be susceptible to mud and puddling; I rode it after a week long dry period followed by a day+ of rain, and there were several muddy spots and a few puddles. The uphill portion includes a long sustained rather steep climb, with a short break then a second false-summit steep section, and finally a third (easier) climb. The downhill section is all a nice gentle slope, as you ride by access points to lots of south side trails. I had worried that the road would be covered by the huge "logging road gravel" that you experience along the short section of road between the end of Galbraith Lane and the Gate & Switch turnoff, but no, most of the gravel is the typical small gravel on the Galbraith roads. All in all I think this road is a worthwhile, though boring, means of traveling between the north and south sides of Galbraith to avoid riding on the pavement of Yew Street Rd. Side note that I rode this on a gravel bike. I walked it up most of the northernmost steep climb, but I'm not all that fit. I plan to try it with my MTB next time and see how it goes.

I started the trail from Check Point M at the dead end on Alvarado (apparently Karma but not marked) and used the connector to Pipeline Rd.
