The trail begins nicely at a dispersed campsite along Plaskett Ridge Rd and follows an easy ridgeline.
Branch off the main ridge to stay on the less technical ridge, follow it down to elevation 1300, this ridge is an old firebreak and has sections where no trail is visible,
Be careful to return on the trail which follows the contour at 1200-1300 ft elevation to get back to Plaskett Ridge Rd, the ride ends at the sharp corner just above(east) of the cattle guard on Plaskett Ridge Rd. Before you start, you are advised to walk from here to the end of the downhill section in order to know where to depart the downhill section and begin the traverse back to Plaskett Rd.
