Polecat is accessed by crossing Lick Creek to the Chatham bike path, turning right (head south) for about a 1/4 or so miles. You'll reach a information sign on your right with a sort of steep shoot that leads up to the trail entrance. Once at the trail you can ride this loop either direction. Head to the left(ish) and you will be greeted with some of the bigger/steeper climbs that Springfield has to offer with a couple of technical moves to get up over some logs. Matched to these climbs are fast, punchy descents that can have some tight turns to navigate. If you choose to head to the right, the trail takes you on the outer/lower portion of the trail to start. This portion has some is mostly flat and fast with some fun flowing turns. This direction does have some climbs, but feels less challenging than the other direction.
