Both a fun easy downhill to link the Manie plateau to the town of Finale and a fun easy uphill access to the 24h track and much more.
The way passes on or close to 3 of 5 main medieval bridges (called Ponti Romani even if their origin is not such). It is quite a wide route with pleasant slopes and a trustworthy soil that creates some puddles in just a few sections.
Some informative panels are to be found in the first part of the track. You'll be able to gather historical details on the area and the Via Julia Augusta
Access Info
Le Manie Area is reachable from the E80 highway accessing Spotorno. You'll need to take the SP8, then the SP45 towards Voze and you'll soon get to the top of the plateau. Other option is getting out of the E80 in Finale Ligure, cross the town on the Aurelia (SS1) and driving up toward Le Manie on the SP45.
Disclaimer
Be careful close to the second bridge since, being it collapsed a long time ago, it has a pretty technical section. No water points until the end of the track.
