This is a very primitive trail with very little travel. The lower section is much more traveled, but once you hit the first little summit, it gets dicey. You will be following what was likely once a trail and is only maintained by deer. A few spots seemed relatively well traveled, but you will find yourself finding and losing the trail frequently. This is an unrelenting uphill.

There is one section where the trail completely disappears into brush with 30+ potential routes, but pushing through gets you to a more well-traveled trail along the ridgeline. The surface is generally soft dirt with great rock footholds for pushing upward.

The views from this trail are great Beautiful flowers in springtime. Frequent deer sightings in fall/winter. No tree cover or shade along this trail.
