Primitive road to Pequop Summit is the fifth and last leg of Ulysses and returns you to your car if you parked at the Pequop Summit rest area (exit 373 on I-80) It starts at the end of Nanny Creek single track and is a primitive single lane dirt road that winds up and down north along the ridge of the Pequops till it intersects the I-80 maintenance road for a short ride up to the rest area. The first quarter mile of the road has a number of intersections so the trail (dirt road) is marked by a series of rock cairns. This is a nice road in the summer as it is up high (7000) and usually has a breeze. If you just have time for a short ride to stretch the legs you can connect this to the Radio Tower road as you will not see a car or truck on these primitive roads. You turn left (west) at the top of Nanny Creek trail to access Primitive Road to Pequop Summit or right to go east (downhill) to access the other trails in the Paine Basin
