From the fence at the Morton Easement, the proposed State Sect trail would follow a gentle grade to connect to an old abandoned ditch. Then follow the old dry ditch grade to the two track (shown as Muffy Lane on Google maps). Here it would cross the road and the active ditch to parallel and contour west on existing cow tread above them. Then cross the nose of a low ridge, continue contouring around and up a broad gully after leaving the ditch to head east. The route continues east crossing a low saddle and descending to meet BLM Road 129 near the south edge of the Blackhawk Subdivision.
