This trail has the feel of a classic old school mountain bike trail.
It has it all. A challenging climb, great switch backs and an amazing descent.
There are some well built wood features and some awesome rock slabs.
The trail does a figure 8 and the route is intuitive.

In the process of being sanctioned.

Fantastic trail! Make sure when doing the climb that when you get to a sign that reads "Blue" take a left. Great switch back uphill ride.

Love this trail! Some clarifications for everyone ... as mentioned there is designated bike parking (signed as such) by the Legion at the east end of town on Heart Mountain Dr. Access the West trail-head by riding west on Heart Mountain Dr and taking a right on Windridge Rd, then left on Mt Lorette Dr. The trail-head is to your right up the slope. Follow the flow shown on the Trailforks map. Although the trail is marked Black Diamond, the climb up is most definitely Blue, until maybe the very top, which maybe just crosses into the Black category. The trail is built very well for climbing with nice switchbacks. The decent is fun and flows nicely, turning quite technical in the last kilometer. There are some fun wood features on the way down, but they all have bypasses if you prefer.
