Pura Vida is an advanced, fall-line trail on the Westside. It is a continuously downhill singletrack with no major features such as rockfaces to be aware of. It has seen its fair share of traffic including many races such as the Enduro. The trail goes directly down the steep terrain and is therefore not as enjoyable and loamy as it used to be and is rather eroded. There are many rooty and dusty chutes and looser portions of trail, and lots of large exposed roots that will challenge all riders. It traverses a beautiful countryside beside a creek, so take your time to take in the views as you slide down this trail. Old exit to Baby Snakes has a washed out bridge, please exit to the right down Industrial Waste.

Access Info

Accessed via the Flank trail. If climbing from Function, it will be the first major trail entrance on your right once you've climbed beyond Industrial Disease. From the other direction, continue past Cheap Thrills and High Society, beyond a rock lookout toward Tantalus, over a wooden bridge, then start to descent a little. Entrance should be obvious on your left. The trail is marked by a small rock pile.

Trail is in pretty good shape considering how dry it was this summer. Dirt is setting up nicely again after the recent rain. Great ride!
