A useful way to add a bit to your ride when leaving the Provincial Park. Used to be full of huge stunts built out of sketchy bits of deadfall. You can still see them as you ride along, but they are mostly on the ground now. This trail has been revamped for 2016, with a new route. Nice and easy, with a couple of ups and downs. Crosses The Cedars access road. Avoid when wet are there are some muddy dips.
Signs are on their way, currently quite hard to find. From the Highway end (Stanford Inn) ride up the Mt Fernie Park Road and take the first left, which is a gravel road with a gate. Ride into the gravel road and turn right before the gate. Pretty obvious. From the other, Mt Fernie Park, end you will need to ride onto the dirt road that leads to the Nordic Hut. This road is opposite the Information Kiosk at the entrance to the Park. The turning into the trail is left about 30 meters down the dirt road. There is some flagging, and make sure you keep straight - there is an early right that will take you back to the Nordic Hut.

|reporter A few significant muddy patches. Trail has recently been worked on, so should harden up in due course. Avoid after rain in the preceding 48 hours....|
