This trail was originally designed as a double track 'green' trail to lead people out to the Ottawa River from Wilderness Tours Rafting. It is still double track however there is heavy ATV and horse use, meaning that is quite rutted in some areas. This is why BORCA has been building singletrack around and alongside this trail for some time now, to avoid these nasty sections.

BORCA no longer maintains the Rafters to Rapids Trail as it is too heavily used by ATVs that are damaging the doubletrack beyond reasonable repair.
