This trail is a well laid-out five miles of benchcut singletrack. It was built in conjunction with several professional trail crews and local volunteer talent. It connects to Beale Loop andCastle Rock Trail.
On the trail, you'll find a mixed variety of climbs and flow. There are numerous switchbacks, rock pinches, "g"-outs/ins, and exposed areas.
It can be ridden in either direction: up or down. Riders will gain/lose 1200' +/- of elevation. Throughout the trail are several saddles and gorgeous vistas.
Take your time and bring plenty of water, regardless of which season it is. This trail takes an hour or better to climb and about half that to descend. You may encounter cows around the trail; a polite "excuse me" or bell ring gets them to move if they're in the way.
*Upon leaving Beale Loop, the trail tightens quite a bit. It grazes the hillside where you cross and uses a very small piece of aborted doubletrack. Off to the right will be a sweeping turn up into tight singletrack again. This is where the going gets good. Enjoy.
Access Info
Easiest assess and best way to ride is from Beale Loop. Park at Beale Loop parking lot and make a left and head towards highway 93, southwest.

If you drive past this trail to ride some ware else you loose! This is as pristine as it gets. The Colorado Area Trail Alliance deserves huge Kudos for the work they have done on this trail. I climbed the Beale Loop to the top of Rattler the view was amazing. Then started down Rattler. Single track the way it should be, fast and flowy, technical, some exposure and incredible vistas! I forgot my pump and had to pull into the local bike shop to borrow one. They were very helpful and know the area well. I rode here a long time ago Beale was the only loop...I will not ever drive past without riding again.
