This is an old school track that started life as a steep 4wd road and is slowly degenerating into challenging single track. Starting from a good altitude, the track more-or-less follows a ridge down to the sea. Along the way there are huge views over Cook Strait, though parts of the track are technically challenging so don't get too distracted by the views.

Rideable. Damp but not slippery, a few puddles, lots of loose gravel, rocks and deep ruts on some sections. Lower section is getting a bit overgrown.

Trail is really only an Intermediate grade except for the final single track section down to the beach.

I ride it at least once a week, once you get used to it it’s a really nice fast ride down with a few fast sections (45+) if you trust your tires. Mostly gravel and stunning views

Not particularly technical at all, you could almost ride two abreast for much of it. But is is very fast and fun. Last section down to the beach is a grade 4 with tight corners
