This popular trail in Chula Vista is popular for walkers, joggers, families and cyclists. Expect to share the trail on most days. It is wide, flat and smooth. The surface is mostly small, pebbly gravel on a hard-packed surface and makes for easy riding. It can be ridden in either direction. Use this trail on its own for a short excursion or connect it with other trails in the canyon network for a bigger adventure without having to ride on the roads. The eastern end has a small walking trail around the Rice Canyon Demonstration Gardens and makes for a pleasant snack spot.

All good except the standing water. Its simple to ride around. Major Water drainage issue, large mud pockets if you were to ride through it.
