The 2.71 mile long ridge trail serves as a major connect between Red Rock Crossing and west Sedona. The trail has numerous intermediate sections, but an intermediate rider will find a number of sections very challenging due to the uphill nature of the trail in many sections.

The easiest direction to ride the trail is northeast to southwest. There is certainly more downhill component in that direction and if you ended up riding the other direction there are many steep sections an expert rider would have to walk.

Advanced skilled riders normally don't ride Ridge all the way from the Recycle Center to the Crescent Moon Park they take the Old Ridge trail to Sketch for a more challenging ride with spectacular views.

At least 4 river/creek crossings. Just send it but make sure you check the depth and watch for flash flooding

Rode it South from Carroll Canyon to Secret Slickrock. Very fun with a bit of technical climbing, but you get rewarded with some nice chunky downhill flow towards the South end... Awesome views from the top.

Ride ride north to south and then connected sketch back. Good ride. More flow than sketch by a million. I’d ride again.

Either way this trail is fun. More fun going North to South though. Awesome rock gardens, a couple mandatory drops, slickrock, insane views, and loose stuff so be careful. A true black diamond with a little bit of everything. Heading the other way, from the high point it is a fun and flowy, but shorter and less technical downhill.

One of my favorite trails in Sedona (and definitely the most underrated). Has one of the longer sustained downhills around. True black diamond with some chunk and sketchy sections, but flows pretty well overall.
