Doubletrack dirt path that closely follows the original "Ridge Road" built in 1899. Mostly downhill but has a couple long climbs in the middle. There are two small somewhat primitive campsites along the route - the second one has a picnic table. Information placards along the way explain the history of the road. Perfect trail for late August / early September when the leaves are changing colour. Going from top to bottom takes 3-5 hours (not counting driving time). Potentially a great trail for fatbiking in the late winter/early spring.
Access top via Bonanza Road near summit of King Solomon's Dome (different than Midnight Dome which is the hill in town). Trailhead is marked clearly with signs. Can also reach trailhead by driving Hunker Creek Road and then up to summit.
