The Northern portion of the road is full of fist sized + rocks, making it difficult to ride but not impossible. The climb from Mamquam to the top of the lava flow is in rough shape from rocks coming down the cliffs. Vehicle signs advise not stopping in this area and I see why. The southern half of this road was fairly smooth. Give yourself time coming down as the North portion makes travel slow.
