“Rock n’ Roll is a downhill run that starts out just below the hammock on the face of Jumbo and ends when it flows into Plumbers Crack. The lower half is ridden far more frequently than the upper.”

From the hammock, you descend to the west on the Jumbo Ridge Trail, following the trail through the beautiful landscape of the upper rock garden where you will see a cairn siting on top of a large boulder to your right. The trail that drops of to the right is Rock n’ Roll and things get steep and loose. There are 4 or 5 tricky switchbacks on the face of Jumbo before you hit the run out in the basin below. The trail passes through two large boulders leaning against one another (800 bars barely fit). Shortly after this you will come to the intersection with Wapiti Whip. This next section is also accessible by coming out Plumbers Crack and taking a left at Wapiti Whip. This is a favorite section of many locals. It is fast and flowy with some fun little airs. In general you will not even notice where Rock n’ Roll ends and you join with Plumber’s Crack because you are traveling at top speed, hooting and hollering. That said, use caution at this point because Plumber’s will have two way traffic.
