Rocky Ridge is a challenging and intense two mile trail inside Santa Teresa County Park. It follows the east ridge of the park to the top of the mountain where it terminates near the communication tower.

This trail is very technical and rocky (thus the name). The large rocks that punctuate the trail all along its length range in size from softball-sized to many which are larger than basketball-sized. Few are loose, most are firmly planted in the dirt and can be "safely" ridden over.

This trail is difficult to climb and challenging to descend. On the uphill, the rocks make it difficult to maintain any real pace or speed, making it easier for them to trap a tire and bring the bike to an immediate stop. On the downhills, certain sections are challenging enough to necessitate most riders to dismount and walk through. Only highly skilled riders can navigate some sections of this trail. It may be the only black trail in the park, but It is a great place to work on skills.
