Rode this trail several times in the last week. Nothing has changed. Still the washout near Nakusp. Wish they would fix that part. Is a very nice trail. Easy grade. Where the land owner has it blocked they did put in a very rough trail around his land. Marked with ribbons but very rough. You need to ride over stumps and rocks. At the end of summit lake the trail is still washed out with all the baby toads at the end. Very scenic on that part along the lake.

Nice steady ride up to Summit lake from Nakusp. There are two wash-outs just outside of town that you can climb around if you're brave and right before Summit Lake a landowner blocked the trail so you need to ride on the highway for a couple kms then you can rejoin the trail by following a path through an open field. Near the end of the trail there is a toad rehabilitation project underway and it wont be long until the road becomes a swamp. You'll need to ride through some water and squash a few hundred baby toads if you really want to make it to the end of the trail.
