This is an adventure. Hike 3 hours to the Salkantay snow peak, your bike can go on a horse followed by a 18 km DH. The terrain changes from alpine to sierra then to jungle. Sleeping in Mollepata or Soraypampa is strongly recommended. DONT GO BY YOURSELF.

       Get an early start if you go to avoid the groups of trekkers and their pack animals. Furthermore, the earlier you get started the more likely you are to catch better views of Salkantay arriving at the pass.
