Start at San Martin Top, the 1st Mile is going west along San Martin Top Rd. At the end of the rd, go over a low chain gate to proceed further west and down steeply. Near the end of the jeep rd, go north from a picnic ground style grill (a grill up on a post). From the grill the route is trackless, primitive. When reaching an open grey-rock/soil area the route is not ridable for most people for the next 100 yards steeply down, you will need to decend 80-100ft, then find the old jeep rd which continues straight down a minor ridgeline (do not go up/ascend at all, only down) . Follow this indistinct jeep road for a mile until you emerge onto grassy open hilltop terrain (you may have difficulty following the route). After entering the open grassy area follow follow the grassy area north, past a cattle trough, past a fence. Shortly after the fence it is necessary to descend 150ft (or so) and push the bike up a 200ft section to get past a steep area. From the top of this proceed north, close to the ridgeline again. After descending for a while take care to turn sharply left and along a level decayed jeep road to gain the horse pasture below and south. From the horse pasture there is a steep trail to the cal-trans station, this trail passes along the fence bordering the north side of the caltrans station, then through an unlocked gate, follow the trail to highway 1 at the bottom of Los-burros/WillowCreek Road

There were no signs of anyone using this trail, likely for years. Some deadfall across the t”trail” was easily crossed. gPS required! Great...
