The lower leg (Eastern leg) of the Yellow Trail is a very rustic double track trail which is heavily used by horses. It crosses over a few low-lying streams where it is prone to mud when it rains, which, combined with the heavier horse traffic, causes an uneven riding surface. The Upper (Western Leg of the trail is more conventional single track with a smooth, fast and flowy surface. Named after Sarah Boston, one of a line of 5 generations of Nipmuc women who owned 100 acres on Keith Hill.
