This trail is groomed for skate and classic Nordic Skiing when snow conditions allow. There is a Checkpoint #1 cabin located approximately 3.5km from the Nut Point Trail head. From Checkpoint #1 cabin to Checkpoint #2 cabin is 4km. From Checkpoint #2 cabin to Checkpoint #3 cabin is 8.5km. From Checkpoint #3 cabin to Don Allen ski trails is 5.1km. This total trail length (from Nut Point gate) is approximately 21km. There are multiple lake crossings, so take caution when crossing these sections. Trail is normally skiable between December 15 - March 31 depending on snow and grooming capabilities. Check https://www.larongeskiclub.ca/trails for updated trail grooming conditions.
