Shaken not Stirred Details
This trail is a fire road and the climb up is filled with long moderate climbs. The incline stays the same for most of this switchback trail. The descent down is filled with high speed straightaways over gravel and rocky sections which will rattle even riders with full suspension (hence the name). Views of the Inland Valley can be found along the way and at the top of the trail on clear days.
The trail is exposed if riding midday. On hot days it’s advised to ride earlier in the day although it can be ridden in the later part of the afternoon on a very hot day as the mountain casts a shadow over most sections leading to the top of the trail. If the trailhead gate is open use extra caution for possible utility vehicles and 4x4s on the trail.
Access the trail by Lytle Creek Road across the street from the shooting range entrance by the "Gunsmoke" trail. Parking at trailhead is limited and a Forest Service Adventure pass “may” be needed to park there or on road since it’s just inside the National Forest boundary.
