Pictou to Tatamgouche Rails to trails.
Pictou to Scotsburn is crusher dust and gravel, Scotsburn to the Joudrey road is variable; coal dust, railway ballast rock and class a gravel (during wet weather that section will have some puddles) Joudrey Road to Tatamagouche is crusher dust.
The trail does extend past Tatamagouche west but has yet to be mapped.
Trail is shared between the various counties, snowmobile and atv clubs. Users can expect to see horses, farm equipment, walkers, runners, cyclists and XC skiers as well. the trail is groomed in winter 8ft wide facilitating fat biking, XC skiing and Snowmobiling.
The trail brings you across rolling farm land rivers and forest, the trestle across the River John is spectacular in fall foliage.
Parking in Pictou at the water front, lyons brook, Scotsburn fire hall and school, River John legion, Tatamagouche train station and Nelson park
