As you climb up Shotgun, you will see Pro Bono cross the tail many times. Shotgun is the original trail and is faster and maintains its downhill flow near the bottom, while Pro Bono is an easier climb and and splits off of Shotgun to reach the ridge after the large wooden bridge. It is confusing to tell which way to go sometimes, since the trails cross each other so many times after the bridge. However, on the way down, if you continue straight or slightly more in the direction of the fall-line, you will most likely be on Shotgun, while if you follow the switchbacks, you will be on Pro Bono.
Climb up to the clearing near the top of the Good Riddance climb, but instead of heading right up the steep quad trail to the very top of Good Riddance, continue left and follow the quad road heading North West. Just after entering the trees again, Shotgun heads right on some singletrack and then goes right again at the next junction a couple of dozen meters in.
